Jochen Bette is a term in the fashion world. However, his secret passion is the sea. That’s how the public enterprise sees itself with a view of the Elbe as its home port, and from there they are driving the exploration of new shores in fashion marketing and networking. When Jochen Bette came to us wanting to relaunch the website and logo, it quickly became clear that we wanted to ride this wave.
So, cast off and weigh anchor! The logo plays with the impression of a traditional maritime seal, although it is actually a re-worked and minimalist version of the Bette family seal. The geographical data of the current Agency anchorage at the bow of the logo exudes a clear and likeable cosmopolitan feeling.
The centrepiece of the website is the continuous wave, the sea in motion, the rest was consciously kept to a minimum. Like a seaworthy ship: No frills, rather a one-page design, well-anchored text that doesn’t spin a sailor’s yarn, portfolio icons, which are charming in their precise playfulness. No question, his design nails their colours to the mast and is the perfectly located gateway to the world for our client, Jochen Bette.
